Job Description: Girls Inc. Limestone inspires all girls to be strong, smart and bold through the delivery of dynamic, life-changing programs designed specifically to meet the needs of girls and young women. We are a growing non-profit organization serving more than 1,600 girls and young women in Frontenac, Lennox and Addington, Hastings and Prince Edward Counties each year. More information about Girls Inc. can be found on our website at www.girlsinclimestone.ca. We are currently accepting applications for the position of Planning Coordinator. This is a nine-month, 30 hour per week contract position commencing September 22, 2014. The successful candidate will perform as intern to the Executive Director, working on projects that will directly contribute to the success of our strategic growth plan. Tasks will be management-focused, interesting, relevant and varied, and will include work on the following key projects: • Revision of the organization’s business plan • Roll-out of the organization’s marketing plan • Fund development projects and program grant application submissions • Implementation of an upgraded participant information collection system Eligibility Requirements: Note that this is a funded position contingent on the eligibility requirements listed immediately below. Candidates not meeting these requirements cannot be considered for this position. • Recent college or university graduate from a business-related program: Marketing, Public Relations, Non-Profit Management, Business Management, Business Administration and related programs will be considered • Between the ages of 15 and 30 • Not receiving EI benefits • Legally entitled to work in Canada • Successful completion of a CPIC including vulnerable sector check

Qualifications and Experience:
In addition to the eligibility requirements, we are seeking candidates with the following skills and/or experience:
• Advanced computer application skills - experience using all Microsoft Office and social media applications
• Experience using Adobe Creative Suite applications is a definite asset
• Excellent business writing skills
• Personable and team oriented
• Comfortable and competent public speaking
• An ability to work independently
• Prior work or volunteer experience with a non-profit organization is an asset
• Valid driver’s licence and car are assets
