Volunteer Recruitment and Training Coordinator will be responsible for
developing, implementing and managing a successful volunteer recruitment and
training program at Gilda’s Club Southeastern Ontario.
This is a contract position ending no later than December 2013, working between
15 to 20 hours a week. Occasional
evening and weekend hours will be required.
Essential functions include recruiting
volunteers on a continual basis, promoting Gilda’s Club Southeastern Ontario
through presentations, marketing at community events and producing/distributing
volunteer recruitment materials. The
Volunteer Recruitment and Training Coordinator conducts new volunteer
orientation, creates and manages a volunteer database, develops orientation and training
materials, and evaluates volunteer needs and the volunteer program.
Work Site Location
You will work at our administrative office, and off site at various location throughout Kingston providing information, orientation and training sessions to potential and current volunteers. You will need your own reliable transportation.
Minimum Requirements / Work Experience
We are looking for an individual with an undergraduate degree, two years experience managing volunteers and developing training programs, and who is comfortable speaking in public to recruit volunteers. Proficiency with MS Office and social media tools is required. The right person will be a hard worker with high energy, willing to work flexible hours, self confident and have a great sense of humour.
