Job Description:

The Recreational Program Instructors play an integral part of the Kingston Rowing Club and the Limestone City Dragon Boat Club recreational program success. They instruct individuals who are new to rowing/paddling or who have been around it all their lives. 


We require highly enthusiastic, energetic, motivated and positive instructors to help make rowing and dragon boating a fun, active and social experience. Recreational participants will have a wage range of experience and so our instructors will require patience and flexibility in effective communication and coaching styles. 


The Instructors for KRC will be focusing on 8+s for recreation rowing, and Learn to Row Clinics. Instructors for LCDBC will be working with groups of up to 20 people both recreational and corporate teams. 


You will be building teamwork while helping individuals reach their goals and providing new goals. You will report back with feedback and provide assistance to the club on an as needed basis. You may be required on occasion to help promote the club by handing out informational brochures around the Kingston area.




·       All instructors must have appropriate coaching certificates.

·       Level 1 rowing and/or Community Dragon Boat coaching/Steering

  • Pleasure Craft Operators Card
  • Current First Aid & CPR
