Job Description: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Repair Machinery  Troubleshoot to find the problem  Repair or replace faulty parts  May include pneumatic repairs  Test  Follow ISO procedures 2. Maintenance to Plant Services  Repair damaged or faulty equipment  Maintain generator set  Assist in repairs to HVAC  Maintain fire alarm system  Test 3. Repair Electronic Controls  Troubleshoot using meters/oscilloscope  Repair if possible  Keep spare parts inventory  Reorder if necessary 4. Maintain Spare Parts Supply  Keep track of spare parts  Order necessary parts  Check spare parts as they come in  Repair if possible 5. Assist in Electrical/Electronic Design  Find ways to achieve tasks (electrically) requested by designers  Modify original equipment to operate differently  Make schematics of equipment made  Connect and program P.L.Cs 6. Wiring Control Panels Etc.  Design a layout of components  Install components  Run all wiring  Test and debug 7. Install New Services  Decide size and type of service required  Run conduit, install boxes, panels etc  Pull in wire and connect 8. Safety  Personal safety (ie. tie off ladders)  Co-workers safety  Production machine safety (guards and lock out)  Machine shop area safety and lock out procedures  Check MSDS before handling a product or substance and take appropriate precautions 9. Lead Hand  Monitor production to ensure quality  Ensure safety rules are followed  Oversee repairs and maintenance  Schedule overtime  Report disciplinary matters to supervisor  Order and check in supplies

Minimum Requirements / Work Experience:

 High school diploma
 Electronics Engineering Technician Certificate
 Ontario Electrician Certificate
 Must have excellent knowledge of industrial electrical control circuitry
 Must be able to troubleshoot circuitry as well as electronic controls and repair them
 Must know Ontario Hydro rules and be able to install new services according to rules
 Be able to read schematic diagrams or electrical and electronic equipment
 P.L.C experience
