SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This position supports the manufacturing operation under the direction of the Focus Factory Manager. The process engineer is primarily responsible for leading/supporting multiple projects and acting as the technical resource to the area Focus Factory Manager, Lead Hands and production and maintenance personnel. Interface with marketing to provide product and process capability information, and with production personnel to actively troubleshoot production problems as well as continually improve the process.
Responsible for seeing that all tasks are performed in a manner that complies with the Gananoque Quality Management System, the Gananoque Environmental Management System, and all governing regulatory bodies.
As a leader and a salaried representative of the Management Team you are expected to be a role model in exhibiting the behaviors and fostering the development of Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Accountability.
Interfaces with R&D, customers, marketing and vendors to discover and test new raw materials or production processes with the intent of improving performance or quality, reducing cost, and improving uptime.
Ensure compatibility between process capability and finished product specifications.
Ensure compliance with Gananoque Safety, Environmental and Quality Assurance Programs (i.e. participate in Safety/Environmental Programs and Quality initiatives)
Ability to work flexible hours as project needs dictate.
Occasional travel (less than 10%) to other manufacturing locations training facilities.

Minimum Requirements / Work Experience:
Education: Bachelor\'s Degree in Engineering
Experience: Three to five years manufacturing experience
Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access, Autocad/Solid Edge 3D modeling, Lean and Six Sigma tools and implementation techniques.
Eligible for membership in PEO.
Skills/Competencies: Project Management skills
Working knowledge of quality system regulations, GMPs and ISO requirements
Knowledge of OHSA/WHIMIS Safety requirements
Ability to lead and facilitate teams
Must be a change agent
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability prioritize and a fast-paced, changing environment
Solid trouble shooting skills
Ability to identify root cause and implement long term solutions
Solid conflict resolution skills
Other Skills: Good mechanical and electrical aptitude; understands automation principles and concepts.
