How To Apply:
Working as an assistant to the lead project carpenter, the carpentry labourer carries out various tasks to assist in the building of both small and large scale residential and commercial projects. Efficiently taking on small, medium, or large tasks such as delivering lumber, demolition of flooring, walls, roofing materials ect, framing walls and floors, laying shingles, hanging drywall, laying ceramic tile and mixing mortar, installing insulation, shovelling gravel, ect... Responsible for working safely and in a respectful manner.
Work Site Location:
Various locations around the Kingston Area. If interested projects occasionally take place in Toronto with accommodations paid for.
Minimum Requirements / Work Experience:
Must have a min of 3 years construction experience with the willingness to adapt and learn new skills. Required to be very reliable, diligent, and responsible the carpentry labourer must also be skilled with various hand tools such as: hammer, speed square, tape measure, nail puller, chisel, circular saw, mitre saw, table saw, as well as pneumatic tools such as nail guns. The ability to lift heavy objects and work long hours is a must. The ability to work safely from a ladder, scaffold, or roof is a must. Fall Arrest certificate is an asset.
